Fracture detection in rocks and similarly 'weak points' in salvage should both be technology upgrades (the tech description would act as a kind of tutorial as it took me a while to figure out what those highlights were for) to the visor. Similarly increase thermal resistance to temperature should be several layers of technology upgrades.
