Hello Occupy Mars Team,
I would like to report a critical issue related to the oxygen system that makes the game effectively unplayable in my current save.
Game Version: 1.0.12
Platform: PC (Steam)
Playtime: ~2000 hours since Early Access
Issue Description:
After approximately Day 25 in a new game, my base (two Workshop modules, simple setup) loses all oxygen when I leave the area to explore and then return.
Important details:
I do NOT quit the game.
I simply leave the base to explore.
Upon returning, the Workshop shows 0% O2.
I can no longer refill oxygen bottles.
The issue also affects the Capsule and the EPU.
Electrical systems are functioning.
ESU is functioning.
No visible leaks.
Tanks previously had oxygen (e.g., 75% before leaving).
After returning, the system behaves as if there is no valid O2 network.
This is not a power issue, not a wiring issue, and not a setup mistake. I have extensive experience with the game systems and have verified all connections.
I have:
Reinstalled the game twice.
Fully purged local files.
Disabled and cleared Steam Cloud saves.
Started a completely fresh save.
The issue still occurs.
It appears that when the player leaves the active base area, the oxygen simulation becomes corrupted or fails to properly reinitialize upon return. The system seems dependent on player proximity for correct simulation.
Additionally:
Printed circuit boards sometimes cannot be repaired even when conditions are valid.
The oxygen refill stations become non-functional despite valid setup.
This behavior makes the save unusable, as oxygen is a core survival mechanic and cannot be bypassed.
Given that 1.0 has been out for some time, this is extremely frustrating, as it resembles a simulation/state persistence bug rather than gameplay difficulty.
If needed, I can provide:
Save file
Logs
System specifications
Please let me know what information would be helpful.
Thank you for your time.
